At 17 years old, our youngest vendor includes Vancouver’s talented musician Roan, who makes the most beautiful Rag Dolls! Along with some of her music, she will be bringing her Victorian rag dolls and forest animals. She’ll have a combination of antique looking dolls as well as various animals including foxes, wolves, raccoons and rabbits. Each one is individually made and completely unique; be sure to visit her booth while at the market, and see her wonderful selection of very special gifts!
Mother and daughter team Tracy and Jayda are the hands behind Scrubs & Bubbles, a luxury soap company. Jayda, who was suffering from cystic acne, did her research, and developed a formula that was free from harsh chemicals. With the support of friends and family, Scrubs and Bubbles was formed, and they are proud to offer a line of products that is made in small batches using all natural products. Using only organic, non-gmo ingredients that are locally sourced, Scrubs and Bubbles offers a line of body care products that is safe for all skin types. Be sure to visit them while at Krafted Market, and pick up some stocking stuffers and gifts for the people on your list who love to be pampered.
Both Rose and her shortbread hail from Scotland, a country rich in history and tradition. Among the most famous Scottish practices is the baking of shortbread, a sumptuous, butter-filled treat originally made only for royalty.
Rose and her family moved to Canada and kept their Scottish heritage alive by baking authentic shortbread for friends and family. Their secret recipe turns simple ingredients like fresh butter, flour, and sugar into a delightful treat that’s richly-flavoured, delicately-shaped, and unmistakably hand-crafted.
Rose still makes every piece of shortbread herself; from checking the consistency of the dough to hand-pressing it into the trays, each batch follows the same recipe that has been passed down through her family for generations. It’s a ritual, but one that’s well-accustomed to change; Rose is always dreaming up innovative new forms and flavours for her shortbread. Be sure to give yourself a royal treat while at Krafted Market, and pick up some shortbread to share
